Read-a-Thon got your student excited about reading!? Here’s your chance to update your bookshelves at home or get a head start on some holiday shopping.
Hosted by Little Shop of Stories, the Book Fair will take place in the Media Center all week.
Please consider volunteering for this great event if you are able!
Mark your calendar to join us for a beautiful parade from Glennwood to the Decatur Square.
Second grade is so excited to host this year's Lantern Parade. We welcome the community to join us at 5:30 pm in the Auditorium for a special song and dance that illustrates our study of how the sun, moon and stars are reflected in art.
Immediately following, we will make our way to the front of the school to begin the parade. The parade will travel down Sycamore Place to Sycamore Street and culminate in the Decatur Square.
Come celebrate with us!
Read-a-Thon promotes literacy, inspires excitement about reading, and enables our students to help raise funds for Glennwood. Students compete for classroom and individual prizes for the most minutes read, and seek sponsors to encourage and support their efforts.
Visit the Read-a-Thon page to learn more!
The PTA board meets on the first Friday of each month. All parents are welcome to attend to learn more about the PTA, the activities we sponsor, and how we allocate funds. We welcome your comments and suggestions!

The PTA is providing everyone with a frozen treat from the ice cream truck so we can end the night on a sweet note.
Are you interested in being a room parent for your child's class? Being a room parent is a great way to meet other parents and always be "in the know" about everything going on at school. Plus your child will totally look at you like the rock star volunteer you are!
If you are interested in being a room parent, first fill out the volunteer info on the top right side of this webpage and then be sure to join Cathy Lo Davis, our Room Parent Coordinator, in the media center after community circle on August 24th to find out more!
